It is hosted in Cyprus, at the premises of the Department of Fine Arts, Cyprus University of Technology, in Limassol, and wishes to promote independent filmmaking within the community.
Yeast Film Festival
is an international film festival showcasing short student films from around the globe.
We welcome submissions from four main genres: Fiction, Animation, Documentary and Experimental, as long as they are of less than 20 minutes, and they have been produced during the student years of the filmmaker(s) and/or the producer(s), during the last three years.
- 2024 is the first year of the festival, which aims to grow and establish itself in the film student community.
- This year’s topic is Empathy & the Environment.
- The festival wishes to form a small-but great- filmmakers’ and artists hub within the university premises, the broader city of Limassol, and the wider world.
