Meet Our Team

Constantina Peter

She is a graduate of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens - Department of Theatre Studies, also holding an MA in Contemporary Drama and Dance from Utrecht University. In theatre production, her first professional collaborations began in Brussels at the art laboratory Bains Connective. As a dramaturg, she has collaborated with theatre companies and directors on independent productions for festivals and other projects. Her personal audiovisual projects have participated in local and international events. She has also created videos, mapping projects and visuals in collaboration with Christos Georgiou for several MITOS productions. As a drama teacher, she regularly works with groups of children and teenagers (at public secondary education schools and giving weekly classes at the Old Vinegar Factory), in addition to being a guest teacher of Dramatology at V. Kafkarides Drama School. Constantina is a mother of one boy.

Yiannis Christidis

Yiannis Christidis is an academic and artist. Having studied Cultural Technology and Communication at the University of the Aegean, he holds an MSc in Sound Design from the University of Edinburgh, and a PhD in Social Anthropology of Sound from Cyprus University of Technology. His research focuses on the cultural aspect of sound, its functionality in everyday life and the relationship between the listeners and their place, while he is also interested in the ways the above can be communicated through visual and audio recordings. He is a documentary filmmaker, and he has designed sound and music for numerous audiovisual and radio productions, and performances.

Theodoros Kouros

I am a Lecturer in the Department of Communication and Internet Studies and a social anthropologist. I hold a PhD from the University of Cyprus, a Masters in Modern and Contemporary Greek Society and Culture from the University of Ioannina and a BA in Sociology from the University of Crete. My research interests combine a diverse range of themes and methodologies, with particular emphasis on the construction of space and place, citizenship, memory, ethnic and national identities and migration. In terms of methodology, my experience includes ethnography and digital ethnography, multimodality in anthropology as well as quantitative and qualitative social research methods and techniques.

Markos Souropetsis

Markos Souropetsis is a Special Teaching Staff in Digital Audiovisual Production at the Department of Communication and Internet Studies at the Cyprus University of Technology. He is PhD candidate at the Department of Communication and Internet Studies. He holds an M.Sc. in Cultural Informatics and Communication and a B.Sc in Cultural Technology and Communication from the University of the Aegean. His research focuses on the implementation of new technologies in non-formal learning settings, like museums and archaeological sites. Furthermore, the previous years he has taken part in the production of audiovisual and video-art projects. Besides his teaching duties at CUT, he is a member of Media, Cognition and Learning Research Group, member of the Audiovisual Representation Lab and radio program coordinator at the community radio of the Cyprus University of technology Cut - Radio 95,2.
